Announcing Two Funding Opportunities: Spring 2012 Grant Cycle and the Community Impact Grant Program

The Community Foundation of the New River Valley is pleased to announce two funding opportunities. The Spring 2012 Grant Cycle and the new Community Impact Grant Program offer funds to charitable organizations making a positive impact on the region. Application materials for both programs are available for download on our Grants page. Hard copies may be mailed upon request.

The Spring 2012 Grant Cycle is part of the Community Foundation’s longstanding semi-annual grant program. The Foundation will award grants of approximately $500 to $2,000 to programs in a variety of fields of interest including: arts and culture; community and civic affairs; conservation and preservation of natural, historical, and cultural resources; education; health; libraries and museums; religion; and social services. Charitable organizations classified as 501c3 or units of local government such as school and libraries are eligible to apply. Applications are due Friday, March 16th at 4pm. 

Announcing Two Funding Opportunities: Spring 2012 Grant Cycle and the Community Impact Grant Program

The 2012 Carolyn Pearsall White Community Impact Grant Program is a new opportunity offering up to $10,000 over three years plus in-kind services to projects that make a lasting impact on a critical community need. A full description of the new program, including eligibility requirements and the application process, is available here. The first portion of the application, the Intent to Apply Form, is due Friday, April 6th.

Prospective applicants may also register on the Community Impact Grant Program page for one of the Foundation’s free information sessions. Seating for these sessions is limited.
