Community Fundraising Forum

With federal and state funding reduced, many of our schools, hospitals and other local non-profit organizations are looking to The Community Foundation of the New River Valley as a way to help fund new programs and keep existing ones running. The needs are not limited to one area and span everything from healthcare to the arts to hunger relief. The Community Fundraising Forum is a chance for us to come together as a community to learn more about these emerging issues, while also finding solutions to help support our non-profit organizations here in the New River Valley.
During the session on February 23rd, you’ll be provided with a snapshot of community needs and information on the Foundation’s current funding capacity. This will help set the tone for a group discussion, a chance for us to discuss how we, as donors and Giving Circle members, can make more of an impact in the community. You’ll also hear some history of The Community Foundation, answers to frequently asked questions and explanations of the fundraising tools that the Foundation has in place to help maximize funding and provide more support to the community.
Coffee and breakfast food will be provided. Join us for a conversation on how we can ensure that our community is a happy and healthy one now and for years to come.
